Cookie Policy

Last updated: June 9, 2026

In short: we use only two categories of cookies — one for anonymous analytics (only with your consent) and one for security (strictly necessary). No advertising, no profiling, no cross-site tracking.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember information across pages or visits, such as security tokens or usage statistics. Cookies cannot access other files on your device and cannot execute code.

kindatool.com also uses sessionStorage, a browser storage mechanism similar in purpose to cookies but stored locally on your device and never transmitted to a server. We use it solely to remember your cookie consent preference for the current session. Unlike localStorage, sessionStorage is automatically cleared when you close the browser tab or window — so your consent choice is never stored permanently.

2. Cookies we use

kindatool.com uses a minimal set of cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, social media trackers, or cross-site profiling of any kind.

Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are essential for the site to function securely. They are set by Cloudflare, our CDN and security provider, and do not require your consent under Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive.

Name Provider Purpose Duration
__cf_bm Cloudflare Distinguishes between humans and bots to protect the site from malicious traffic 30 minutes
cf_clearance Cloudflare Stores proof that a browser has passed a security challenge 1 year

Consent preference (sessionStorage)

This is not a cookie but a sessionStorage entry stored in your browser for the current session only. It records your choice from the consent banner for the duration of your visit. When you close the browser or tab, this entry is automatically cleared and the banner will reappear on your next visit.

Key Provider Purpose Duration
kt_cookie_consent kindatool.com Stores "granted" or "denied" for the current browser session only. The banner reappears on every new visit. Session (cleared when browser closes)

Analytics cookies (require consent)

These cookies are set only if you click Accept in the cookie banner. They help us understand how visitors use the site in aggregate so we can improve it. No personal information is collected.

Name Provider Purpose Duration
_ga Google Analytics Distinguishes unique users by assigning a randomly generated anonymous identifier 2 years
_ga_* Google Analytics Persists session state for the current Analytics property 2 years

Google Analytics data is processed by Google LLC (USA) under Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.

3. How to manage your preferences

You have several ways to control cookies:

  • Cookie banner — the banner appears on every new visit. Simply click "Reject All" or the ✕ button to decline analytics cookies. Your choice applies for the current session only.
  • Browser settings — all modern browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect security features.
  • Google opt-out — install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to block tracking across all sites you visit.

4. Third-party services

The two third-party services that may place cookies are Cloudflare and Google Analytics. Each operates under its own privacy policy:

We do not use any other third-party cookies or tracking scripts.

5. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy occasionally. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised date. For significant changes, we will display a notice on the site.
